A few photos from Puri

JB and I and a small group of other volunteers have been in Puri for the last week.
It is a village town not a city like Kolkata. I suppose it is most known for its beaches and the Sun Temple which is pretty close by in Konark. I liked our stay the most because there was fresh air and lots of little farms and rice paddies around it.

Havilah, what great shots of Puri! I really enjoyed my time there. :)

Hey, I have a friend who wants to do a medical mission this summer- could you ask one of the Sisters if the MC's are working in the Phillipines, and if nursing students could come help?

Any info you can give would be a huge help! :)

God Bless you!

Dear Sister,

By now you must have already achieved a great respect for the humanity of all people.

But just in case you forget sometimes, you should offer something to those whom you photograph.

Just think how pissed off you and I would be if someone came by while our baler had broken down and we were trying to work. Snap. Snap. Not the noise we'd like to hear.

Something small would make all the difference. On the farm, when shit was a little bizarre, I remember thinking that I would consider a hard boiled egg and a six pack of beer a seven course meal.

Say hello to my new brother.

Love,

Dave
